As a collage of synth loops, sound patterns, and patches on 11 tracks, "Murder at the Circus" proved to be a tremendous challenge especially in lining up these tracks to fit together. I wanted to form a defined rhythmic structure, with simple percussion, to fit the primary structure of synthesizers (accompanied with patterns and patches of various sounds around and in between this structure of synthesizers) in their on going repeat. The result is a repetition of melody (synthesizers accompanied with a simple mechanical percussion section) moving through the collage of sound patterns and patches creating various colors and textures along the way.
