This is a tribute to coffee, centenary beverage of inspiring moments. Tries to draw one of them, describing a quiet afternoon at home with a guitar and the hidden musicality of the environment. An old fridge and the purring of a cat give us a base on which a coffee pot sings, while someone ironing gently percutes through the rain’s rhythm. The ideas emerge from our guitar and all harmonize to the motif: C-A-F-E (do, la, fa, mi) [café, Spanish word for coffee]. This sequence of notes will be repeated by the elements involved throughout the work, until a neighbor belfry tells with the same motif, that 4 P.M. is as good time as any to have a coffee.

It was recorded during 2014 in the modest studio that the author has at his home in Salamanca and he calls "Coitus Interruptus", where produces most of his creations. A microphone and a multichannel soundcard and software like GoldWave, Mixcraft and Sony Sound Forge for Windows was used, treating digitally the sounds as sounds to fit the desired tonality and rhythm. Thus, the elements of the environment become referential to emulate, for example, the fridge as a continuo in F natural and F sharp, or the iron as the percussion when hits over the ironing board, slides over clothes and ejects steam and water. These and other elements are dramatically amplified to reveal to the listener the musicality of what surrounds us.
